Description Suffolk County Council – Allington Clinic, Ipswich, IP4 4ER - Hybrid £27,711 per annum (pro rata) 18.5 hours per week Permanent This advert is open to current redeployment Suffolk County Council staff only An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Suffolk County Council's Health Business Centre as a Business Support Assistant Manager in the Health Visiting Clinical Administration Team, working from Allington House, Ipswich. The Health Business Centre (HBC) is an integral and key element of the Suffolk 0-19 Healthy Child Service, and its function is to support the delivery of the health visiting and school nursing services to children and young people across Suffolk, ensuring that families receive a seamless, efficient and timely response. It is also the single point of contact for all clients, staff and stakeholders. Your role and responsibilities This supervisory role is imperative to the smooth running of the Administration Team. Working alongside the Business Support Manager you will be responsible for the 16 staff members (10.4FTE) in terms of monthly supervisions and PDR's, daily resource management, escalation point and 'go to expert'. You'll also be responsible for all new starter training and maintaining the 'Admin Handbook' reference documentation/training manual for the team. You'll work closely with the wider HBC team and the health visiting team managers, whilst receiving management supervision, and you will have access to the in-house training to support you in your role. In addition you'll be working with the Business Support Manager to implement strategic change and deliver programmes of activity that will deliver efficiencies for the service and streamline access to our services for service users. You will need relevant experience and knowledge to be able to manage staff in a busy, fast-paced working environment to include recruitment, training and appraisals to be a good communicator who can provide advice and guidance to your staff on a range of administrative procedures and be able to deal effectively with any people issues in the team working knowledge of Microsoft packages as well as SystmOne to be organised and able to prioritise your own work and the work of others to meet deadlines.
