We are a multidisciplinary team consisting of CBT Therapists, Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners, Interpersonal Therapists, Counsellors and Community Mental Health Nurses. We are committed to staff development, and these posts offer great opportunity for ambitious individuals looking to further their careers within an excellent Talking Therapies service, covering some of the most beautiful countryside of the Peak District National Park. Applicants will need to have a core RMN professional qualification, and post-qualification experience, preferably in both inpatient and community settings, but this is not essential. The post-holder will offer 1:1 treatment intervention to clients who struggle with a range of different symptoms and difficulties, including but not limited too; Eating Disorders, Low Self-Esteem, Emotional Dysregulation, Depression, and Anxiety. The post-holder will work with clients who may present with increased risk, to ensure that their safety is maintained and to support clients to develop and follow robust Safety Plans, referring on to appropriate Crisis Services where necessary. The post-holder will manage this caseload of clients, providing weekly treatment appointments on a 1:1 basis to work on clients identified needs and issues, providing evidenced based therapeutic interventions and supporting the client to develop appropriate skills to manage and improve their wellbeing. Alongside 1:1 sessions, the post-holder will also work closely with CPN colleagues in delivering online group workshops to clients that focus on developing Emotional Regulation skills. Knowledge of CBT principles in treating anxiety disorders and depression would be an advantage. There are other training opportunities available for team members who have an interest in developing other evidence based therapeutic interventions in primary care mental health. As the service is based in Newcastle Under Lyme, Stoke on Trent and the wider geographical area of North Staffordshire and the Leek Moorlands some travel between sites and bases is required, therefore a driving license is advantageous. We are able to offer flexible remote working at times, however do require candidates to be able to offer face to face appointments for clients at our current bases within North Staffordshire and the Moorlands.
