St Mary's is looking for 3 GPs with an Extended Role in Gynaecology (GPwER) to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced GP to develop further. As a Gynaecology GPwER, you will be providing predominantly face-to-face consultations in one of our hospital or community-based clinics.
This is a 3 PA post, details in attached Job Description.
Main duties of the job
Gynaecology GPwER Will Be Required To:
1. Provide clinical consultations which may be virtual or face to face.
2. Be competent in managing common gynaecological conditions such as abnormal bleeding, pelvic pain, PCOS, Endometriosis, Menopause, etc.
3. Optimise the medical management of women with common gynaecological conditions in the community and discharge them back to their GP.
4. Refer to other Community services and secondary care as appropriate.
5. Complete comprehensive notes, request the appropriate investigations and develop a management plan with the patient.
6. Support the administrative team with clinical and non-clinical queries.
7. Participate in regular clinical meetings, clinical governance, audits, quality improvement, training and education.
There are several sites identified for the service and these may evolve as the services develop.

Qualifications And Training
Essential criteria:
* MRCGP
* MBBS/MBCHB
* Registered on the GMC Specialist Register
* Past specialist registrar training in Gynaecology
Desirable criteria:
* Higher Degree (PhD, MD)
* BMS Management of menopause or Advanced Certificate in Menopause BMS/FSRH equivalent
* DSFRH+LoC SDI/IUD
* DRCOG
Experience
Essential criteria:
* Demonstrated specialist experience working in Women’s Health/ Gynaecology previously
* Competent in performing gynaecological assessments and Minor procedures
Desirable criteria:
* Experience in service development
Clinical Governance and Education
Essential criteria:
* Experience of Audit
* Active involvement in delivering women’s health education
* Satisfactory GP Appraisal +/- Revalidation as per GMC
Interpersonal Skills
Essential criteria:
* Organisational and IT skills
* Ability to implement change
