Band 6 - Community Mental Health Clinician

Main duties of the job
1. Working in an identified adult community mental health pathway, with the flexibility of working across pathways, dependent on skill and service need.
2. Delivering high-quality clinical service to service users and their families.
3. Managing a complex caseload and being responsible for clinical and caseload supervision of other team members where identified.
4. Operating as a care coordinator for a defined caseload of service users
5. Delivering therapeutic interventions, following an agreed care plan, to an identified group of people experiencing mental health-related difficulties.

Essential
19. Registered Mental Health Clinician and registered and active on NMC/HCPC register
20. Ability to use computers and other information technology as required

21. Non medical prescribing qualification AMHP
Experience

22. Have extensive post-registration experience
23. Have previous experience of working in the community with non-dementia related mental health
Desirable
24. Experience of previous working in a similar role.
Skills & Knowledge

25. Have knowledge of current initiatives impacting on the service
26. Be able to lead on assessments by telephone confidently and competently.
27. Can demonstrate the skills required to work within and across teams and professional boundaries
