Client:
Our client is a positive thinking, sociable man who is independently mobile but may tire when out and about. He has a moderate learning disability and thrives with structure and activity. He requires support and occasional prompting to ensure his safety when out in the community. Our client lives in his own home and has a part time job. There is only limited personal care required.
He has a keen sense of humour and enjoys good company. He likes walking, football, visiting the gym and horse riding; he enjoys swimming, curries and a visit to the pub.
You will be expected to:
· Have a good understanding and experience of working with people with an acquired brain injury
· Enjoy good conversation and be as good a listener as speaker
· Be patient and learn to understand our client’s ways
· Liaise with our client’s Case Manager and various (sometimes multidisciplinary) team members and facilitate good communication
· Be physically fit to enable our client to participate in his various activities
· Enjoy supporting others and be considerate and good-natured with a genuine interest in his holistic development
· Plan and organise activities both within the home and out in the community appropriate to his taste and preferences and in discussion with out client
· Have a willingness to be involved in all aspects of his life, including social activities
· Have a clean driving licence and vehicle
· Be committed to enhancing our client’s quality of life

Salary: £13.00 - £15.00 per hour dependent on the shift worked and your experience.
