You will need to possess at least basic knowledge of physical assessment skills (ideally you will have completed the Physical Assessment Module), be able to undertake a top-to-toe assessment and take a thorough, succinct history focusing on the presenting complaint. You should be forward thinking and able to prioritise based on clinical need. Acute skills and knowledge are essential. Within the team we have Senior HCAs; Registered Nursing Assistants; Registered Nurses; Paramedics; Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists. Nearby, we have District Nursing, COPD and Heart Failure teams and have access to Virtual Ward and bridging packages of care. Its a big team of clinicians, all striving for the best outcomes for our service users and their families.
