With a strong foundation and an ambitious growth strategy, we are looking for a talented and driven Business Development Manager to join our team and play a key role in expanding our market presence.
The Role:
As our new Business Development Manager, you will be instrumental in driving our business forward. You will identify and capitalise on new opportunities, develop strategic partnerships, and help us expand our footprint within the logistics industry. This is a dynamic and rewarding role that requires a proactive, results-driven approach to business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
* Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the UK logistics sector, with a focus on general haulage, container services, palletised freight, and temperature-controlled shipments.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing clients, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and retention.
* Lead the sales process from prospecting and lead generation through to proposal and contract negotiation.
* Collaborate closely with the operations team to ensure service delivery meets the highest standards and aligns with client expectations.
* Stay ahead of market trends and competitor activity, identifying new areas for growth and service innovation.
* Meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs to contribute to the company’s ongoing success and growth.
* Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and meetings to enhance our brand visibility and network with potential clients.
Skills & Experience:
* Proven experience in business development or sales, ideally within the logistics, transportation, or supply chain sector.
* In-depth knowledge of logistics services such as general haulage, container handling, palletised freight, and temperature-controlled transportation.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build lasting relationships and influence key stakeholders.
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* A proactive, self-motivated approach with a strong track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a dynamic team.
* A full UK driving licence is preferred, but not essential.
