The Wendy House day nursery was the brainchild of Victoria Vann, who started her career as a nursery nurse at the age of 16. Victoria’s ethos has always been to create a vibrant, stimulating environment where children can thrive. She is passionate about the importance of early years education and continuous improvement, always going the extra mile to ensure the children at The Wendy House have a range of activities above and beyond the core early years curriculum to motivate, inspire and fuel their desire to learn.
After completion, you will develop into a Level 3 practitioner, with the potential of a permanent position upon successful completion.
Responsibilities:
1. Providing an excellent range of activities that ensures that the child learns whilst having fun.
2. Supporting children’s learning and development, including supporting planning and observations.
3. Preparing and maintaining the environment and resources for the children.
4. Preparation of food for breakfast, snack, and afternoon tea.
5. Supporting children’s self-help needs.
6. Being creative and enthusiastic.
7. Following safeguarding rules and undertaking First Aid training as required.
8. Undertaking training as appropriate to meet any changes in standards or appropriate legal requirements.
9. Ensuring that all Health and Hygiene requirements are always adhered to.
You will gain a Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification at the end of the course. All training is completed remotely via teams, and your tutor will be there to support you throughout and visit your setting. Online remote training sessions will take place once every week for the first 8 weeks and will be scheduled in as necessary. You will complete your Level 3 Paediatric First Aid.
Apprentices are required to be as flexible as possible to meet the needs of the business. The average working week will be between 30-40 hours, Monday to Friday. Shifts TBC.
