Office Manager Tettenhall Medical Practice
We have created an exciting opportunity within our reception team for candidates who would like to develop in their careers and progress toward practice management. This is a fully supported role with numerous personal development opportunities.
We are looking for applicants with initiative, enthusiasm, and a pleasant personality with leadership skills who can manage different tasks to fill this key position within our practice. Experience in an NHS setting would be preferred; however, full training and support will be provided to the successful applicant, and all applications will be considered.
Main duties of the job
1. Work with the Assistant Practice Manager (APM) to ensure effective and efficient day-to-day management of non-clinical practice work, including but not limited to:
2. General IT management and support.
3. Smartcard management alongside the APM.
4. Managing the practice's online services and digital presence.
5. Complaints management and handling, along with the APM and the Business Manager in the event of a serious complaint.
6. Work alongside the Business Manager, the APM, and the Nurse Team Lead to plan and coordinate the QOF work, managing appointments on a day-to-day basis.
7. Work alongside the Business Manager, the APM, and the Nurse Team Lead to plan and coordinate the flu season.
8. Along with the APM, share the attendance of the PPG meetings and provide support as needed.
9. Control and ordering of stationery stock.
10. Weekly fire testing.
11. Able to manage EMIS registrations, processing data, and GP to GP data transfer.
12. Line management of reception and admin workforce.
About us
Tettenhall Medical Practice is a large GP practice in a leafy suburb of West Wolverhampton serving around 11,500 patients. The practice is based in an NHS Estate with a friendly and supportive team. The workload in general practice is continuously evolving, and we are in the process of restructuring to strengthen our non-clinical team to help cope with these changing dynamics and to continue providing excellent service to our patients.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* GCSE Maths and English Grade A to C
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office usage
* NVQ in customer service and team leading
* Background in practice management
* Experience in the healthcare industry
* Customer-facing work experience
* Proficiency in computer software packages and health management applications - EMIS / AccuRx
Knowledge and skills
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to develop and support the strategic vision of the practice
