As a Purchase Ledger and Credit Control Assistant, you will play a vital role in the small and supportive Finance department, ensuring the smooth processing of supplier invoices and effective management of credit control procedures. Hours: Monday - Thursday 8:30am - 5pm, Friday 08:30am - 4pm
Type: Permanent, full-time position

What You'll Do:
1. Accurately process roughly 400 monthly supplier invoices.
2. Invoice management.
3. Process Supplier payments.
4. Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies efficiently.
5. Conduct bank and credit card reconciliations.
6. Conduct credit checks on new customers, setting appropriate credit limits.
7. Chase overdue invoices through phone, email, and letters.
8. Negotiate payment plans and terms as needed to support our clients.
9. Assist with financial reports and month-end activities.
10. Provide support to the Head of Finance with various ad-hoc tasks and projects.
11. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
What We're Looking For:
1. Proven experience in purchase ledger and credit control roles is essential.
2. AAT level 2.
3. An eagle eye for detail and accuracy in all your tasks.
4. Proficiency in accounting software (Sage 50) and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
5. Knowledge of financial regulations and best practices.
