SEN Teaching Assistant
Primary School
Location - Caerphilly
Full time - Monday - Friday (8:30-3:30)
Pay rate - £12.90ph
Start date - 6th January
We are currently looking for SEN experienced Teaching Assistants to join a number of roles we have available in our SEN bases within our mainstream Primary Schools in Caerphilly.
In this role you will be responsible for the supporting and mentoring of children who require special educational support. These children may struggle with Autism, ADD, Down Syndrome to name a few amongst other conditions.
Experience and/or understanding of children with additional learning needs is important either professionally or personally. This role would requires a calm, friendly and collected individual to work closely with these pupils.

Job responsibilities:
- Supporting children between the ages of 4-11 with additional learning needs such as Autism, ADHD and both emotional and behavioural needs.
- Offering literacy and numeracy support.
- Provide support throughout the day both for their school work and emotionally.
- Required to work on a 1-2-1 basis with children as well as on a class basis.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have an open approach to SEN individuals.
- Have a positive, energetic & patient mindset
- Experience working with children with additional needs (professional or personal).
- Passionate about supporting pupils to enhance their futures in and outside of school.
- Be a proactive and hard working individual, who is able to positively approach any day.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
