As a Senior Officer in the Environmental Regulatory Sector, you will manage and execute statutory duties related to private sector housing, caravan and campsite licensing and public health. Your role will involve ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, conducting inspections and address public health concerns. This role requires a strong understanding of housing standards, public health principles and environmental regulations. This position offers family-friendly flexibility, including the ability to work from home and in the field. Responsibilities? Conduct inspections of private sector housing to ensure compliance with housing standards and regulations. Investigate and resolve complaints related to housing conditions, public health nuisances and environmental hazards. Enforce public health legislation and take necessary actions to protect public health and safety. Provide expert advice and support to property owners, landlords, and tenants on housing and public health issues. Experience in environmental regulation, housing standards or public health. Strong knowledge of housing regulations, public health laws and environmental standards.
