What skills and experience we're looking for
Ideally, the post holder will have a proven track record in sourcing and establishing links with local employers that result in placements for learners, whilst also providing employers with support and guidance to support learners on placement. The post holder will contribute to the design and delivery of learner programmes including recruitment and induction and support learners undertaking employment experience opportunities.
A good general education, including English and Math’s GCSE grades A-C or equivalent
Experience of developing/contributing to learning programmes for young people (preferably this would include the design and delivery of employability programmes)
Experience of conducting assessments with learners (including literacy\numeracy)
Able to establish positive relationships with young people, external agencies (including employers) and colleagues
Effective oral and written communication skills
Effective organisational and time management skills
Ability to maintain paper or electronic information systems
Enthusiasm for and commitment to working with and supporting young people
Able to work under pressure, to deadlines and under own initiative
Ability to drive (full driving license) and use of a car
Post-compulsory teaching qualification at level 6 diploma standard or equivalent (DTLLS, PGCE, (PCET), Cert Ed, etc.)
