This is a Locum appointment within the Royal Devon University Hospital NHS Trust Vascular Surgery Network, which includes Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital and Torbay Hospital. The base hospital, on call requirement and residency requirement for this post is for the Eastern Service, based at RD&E (Wonford).
The appointee will be expected to have expertise in the management of common vascular conditions. Renal access and endovascular experience are desirable. The appointee will undertake the vascular emergency on-call rota for the Exeter and Torbay vascular network, accepting in-hours and out-of-hours referrals. Weekly commitments will typically consist of a combination of network MDT, regular inpatient care, CEPOD lists, and review of admissions in the Emergency Department and through the Emergency Surgical Assessment Clinic (ESAC).
You will be supported by a rota of junior doctors ranging from F1 to Registrar. Across the network, there are currently 6 substantive consultants. All emergency surgery and planned elective arterial surgery is performed in Exeter.

1. Participating in network MDTs.
2. Providing regular inpatient care.
3. Conducting CEPOD lists.
4. Reviewing admissions in the Emergency Department and through the Emergency Surgical Assessment Clinic (ESAC).
