Job summary Salford GP Provider Board (GPPB) brings together representatives from GP provider organisations (Salford Primary Care Networks, LMC and Salford Primary Care Together) to consider, in a systematic and coordinated way, the delivery of strategic and operational matters involving GP providers. It has a mandate from GM Integrated Care Board (GM ICB) to ensure that externally we have one united voice and can work successfully and professionally, in partnership with the wider system. Whilst the board has worked hard to ensure the sector has a seat around the Salford table, on behalf of its collective membership, we are now at the point of needing to advance our capability and capacity to a greater extent to secure new opportunities. It is vital the board furthers its maturity by creating a governance structure which allows the board to be robust and accountable with clear lines of responsibility to its members, whilst growing the collective potential of our sector. This Project Management Officer role is to rapidly progress what is described above. Within the 6-month period of this project, the aim is to review the current position of the board, identify what needs to be done to achieve significant gains for our sector attracting increased income and efficiency, bringing benefit to practices and their patients and initiate delivery of this. To engage with other relevant and key stakeholders as part of this process including GPs, their practices, PCNs, SPCT and LMC as a minimum. To benchmark with other localities in GM, especially those with a more developed governance model and approach, including service delivery. To develop a strategic vision of what we want to achieve for Salford General Practice in 2025 and beyond. To support the GP Providers to be ready to bid and secure new contracts in Salford, increasing opportunities and income for Salford General Practice. To develop a communications strategy that ensures an on-going two-way dialogue between the GP Provider board and stakeholders. To develop a robust governance system and implement as appropriate.
