We are looking for a Design Engineer (Rigid inclusion, Ground Improvement) to join the UK's leading ground engineering and geotechnical contractor. What you'll be doing Carrying out detailed designs both pre and post contract for ground improvement schemes. Carrying out settlement analysis to assist in the bidding process. Assisting the work winning team in securing tenders with comprehensive design assistance. Providing post contract design reports. Providing design advice and assistance when contracts are being carried out on site. Assessing design risks and ensuring our health and safety procedures are met. Developing relationships with clients where design input is required. Seeking to continuously improve the design process, gathering internal and external feedback and reviewing projects are completed to a high design standard. Ensuring design submissions and client communications are of the highest standard of presentation and clarity, are submitted on time and contain the key elements required. Who we're looking for (person specification) Experience of ground improvement design and techniques such as rigid inclusions and vibro stone columns. Proven experience in the use of Plaxis 2D and 3D settlement analysis software is essential. Ability to understand and interpret SI data. Ability to carry out ground improvement designs. High level of commercial awareness. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines. Be able to work independently as well are part of a team to deliver more projects and assist the work winning team. Have an ability to prioritise and organise own work effectively. Location: Warrington WA3 7BH with National travel as required. Other Requirements: Eligible to work and live in the UK. Flexibility to travel in the UK.
