Personal Assistant required – Tarleton area – LILS/EM/OL
Do you have some spare time each week to make a difference in a young person’s life? Are you a caring, patient, and motivated individual with a passion for supporting others and a sense of fun? If so, we would like to hear from you.
We are looking for someone to support a young man and act as a friend and mentor. Ideally, you should have experience or knowledge of Autism and anxiety.
Your duties will include:
1. Providing companionship and support to build confidence and promote independence.
2. Facilitating access to the community for social/leisure activities.
3. Sharing interests in woodwork, photography, and baking.
No personal care is involved; just reassurance and a calm, positive attitude as he can be anxious when leaving the house.
You must have excellent communication skills and be trustworthy and reliable. A driver with a full clean license is required.
You must be willing to undertake an enhanced DBS check.
This is a part-time position for 6 hours per week initially (support is required for two afternoons – weekdays) with an hourly rate of £11.44 plus 5.6 weeks paid annual leave and a workplace pension scheme.
