Personal Assistant required – Tarleton area – LILS/EM/OL
Do you have some spare time each week to make a difference in a young person’s life? Are you a caring, patient and motivated individual with a passion for supporting others and a sense of fun? If so, we would like to hear from you.
We are looking for someone to support a young man and act as a friend and mentor, ideally with experience or knowledge of Autism and anxiety.
Your Duties:
1. Providing companionship and support to build confidence.
2. Promoting independence and access to the community for social/leisure activities.
3. Sharing interests in woodwork, photography, and baking.
4. Offering reassurance and maintaining a calm, positive attitude.
No personal care is involved, but you must have excellent communication skills, be trustworthy, and reliable. A driver with a full clean licence is required.
Must be willing to undertake an enhanced DBS check. This is a part-time position for 6 hours per week initially (support is required for two afternoons – weekdays) with an hourly rate of £11.44 plus 5.6 weeks paid annual leave and a workplace pension scheme.
