Business Analyst
Location: Newcastle
Please Note: Any offer of employment is subject to satisfactory BPSS and SC security clearance which requires 5 years continuous UK address history (typically including no periods of 30 consecutive days or more spent outside of the UK) at the point of application.
Hybrid Working: This role will require you to work from our Newcastle, Cobalt Business Park office 3 days per week.
As a Business Analyst, you will:
1. Bridge the gap between IT and the business using data analytics to assess processes, elicit requirements and deliver data-driven recommendations and reports to executives and stakeholders.
2. Create functional designs, sequence diagrams, process flows, business rules catalogues and product backlog items to agree detailed requirements with client product owners and clearly communicate what needs to be developed and tested to the feature teams.
3. Identify, analyse and complete complex business impact assessments across multiple business streams to understand the impact of the product/change.
4. Prepare and co-ordinate business activities to support large implementations.
5. Ensure business is operationally ready to support the target operating model.
6. Lead business change activities, building communications and designing training plans to support change.
7. Support Testing with reviewing scripts, triaging defects and assisting with test queries.
As a Business Analyst at Senior Analyst and Consultant Career Levels you will:
1. Operate independently in a high impact customer facing role.
2. Guide customers through the journey of requirements identification and elicitation.
3. Integrate closely with both business and technology teams to create a holistic vision of the solution that enables successful delivery.
4. Work closely with solution architects and technical architects to develop solutions to our customers' problems.
5. Coach and lead junior Business Analysts.
6. Demonstrate experience with a range of Business Analysis tools and techniques.
7. Lead on innovative solution design.
We are looking for experience in the following skills:
1. Establishing and implementing mechanisms to measure and deliver benefits.
2. Ensuring maximum improvements in existing and new business operations.
3. Utilising structured techniques for solution design such as Design Thinking, UML or BPMN.
4. Understanding business change needs and assessing the business impact of those changes.
5. Utilising tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio or Excel.
6. Demonstrating understanding and practical experience with either Agile or Waterfall delivery.
7. Delivering change in various industry areas, including the Public Sector.
Set yourself apart:
1. Hold a professional BA Certification.
2. Experience in working in Scrum, capturing and generating User Stories.
3. Experience in preparing affected business areas for transition to new ways of working.
