Job Title
A Quality Engineer is required by a global engineering business that designs and manufactures industrial products for various sectors. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring, assessing, and reporting on product and process quality, ensuring manufacturing processes are performed correctly and in line with established standards and specifications.
Main Responsibilities:
* To enhance the compliance and quality of products/services.
* Monitor, test, and report on product and process quality, ensuring manufacturing processes are conducted correctly and identifying non-conformances and opportunities for improvement.
* Review, improve, design, and implement standard operating procedures and processes to ensure that products meet required specifications and customer expectations.
* To conduct root cause analysis, problem-solving, and implement corrective actions.
* Initiate, recommend, and deliver solutions to improvement opportunities.
* To drive the close-out of NCRs in a timely manner with stakeholders across the business.
* To promote a culture of Zero Non-Conformance and Right First Time using recognized techniques.
* To conduct internal/external quality and compliance audits.
* To improve customer satisfaction and progressively enhance Business Unit KPIs.
* To provide quality data/reports in a timely manner.
* To maintain relevant quality documentation.
* To raise corrective action requests and manage timely close-out with relevant parties.
* To support the Quality Manager with the management of the Integrated Management System (IMS) and continued re-certification to ISO 9001 – External Audits.
Qualifications and Experience:
* A minimum HNC qualification in an Engineering discipline or equivalent.
* Training in Root Cause Analysis techniques.
* A minimum training in Internal Auditing (Lead Auditor beneficial).
* In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001.
* The ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings.
* The ability to understand and interpret customer specifications.
* The capability to identify and resolve problems using a structured and data-driven approach.
* Training/experience in Lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies is beneficial.
* Experience working with Quality Management Systems (QMS).
* The application of measurement, analysis, or continuous improvement tools.
