Job Description Our Integrated Merlin Operational Support (IMOS) department are currently recruiting for a Service Support Manager to join their successful team. Based at our Yeovil office, at the ‘Home of British Helicopters’, you’ll be responsible for overseeing critical aspects of the IMOS contract and being a key interface between the service or product provider and end-user. Playing a vital role in the IMOS Service Management Organisation (SMO), you will provide the business with a professional level of knowledge, and expertise embracing all aspects of those products and services provided by the IMOS SMO Team. Please note that this role is a JFF Level 7 (PPM.) What you’ll be doing as the IMOS Service Support Manager; Manage the Out of Scope (OOS)/ Request for Quotation (RFQ) process, facilitating and coordinating inputs from key function stakeholders and progressing progress the tasks through all elements of the service and prepare specific reports, briefs and presentations in support of the IMOS service Manage and maintain the Support To Other Platforms (STOP) Process and provide subsequent management reporting through monthly STOP statistics for the SMO Contribute to the Management, motivation and development of the joint IMOS team, across the business to provide the level of support activity within the timescales demanded by the business Ensure that activities are being carried out in accordance with the agreed Statement of Requirement (SoR), Statement of Work (SoW), Company Process Schedule and budgetary constraints Project co-ordination and project management across the project lifecycle, including; statement of work, schedule, cost adherence, risk management Identify opportunities for new support business, as well as making sure that commercial and technical difficulties are managed accordingly What we need from you; Qualified to Degree or equivalent level in both business management and a relevant technical discipline or a significant knowledge of aerospace, defence and related business areas, gained through at least 10 years direct experience Ability to provide advice, guidance and support to team members to achieve departmental objectives for both Performance and Risk Management Team player, able to communicate effectively with colleagues, Prime Contractor, Subcontractors and Key Stakeholders within the MOD Customer community at all levels Knowledge of the Integrated Operational Support construct and associated support disciplines Knowledge of military aircraft operations, manufacturing and support processes Experience of dealing with the relevant DT organisations of the DE&S Good understanding of support and programme management Security Clearance You must be eligible for full security clearance.
