You will be working for a British manufacturer who design and make luxury furniture, lighting, fabrics, wallpapers and much more. Due to a slight restructure, they are looking to appoint an experienced Assistant Accountant on part time (25 hours per week) permanent basis.
Your new role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for performing bookkeeping and month-end duties, using the Quickbooks accounting software, in addition to being the main point of contact for North America and assisting the UK finance team with additional reporting.
Duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to, the following:
1. Purchase ledger
2. Calculating accruals and prepayments
3. Maintaining the fixed asset register
4. Balance sheet and bank reconciliations
5. Recognising employee expenses and credit card spending and ensuring they are in line with thepany policies
6. Weekly cash flow forecasting
7. Creating payments to suppliers on the US banking platform
8. Being main point of contact for finance related queries for the North America team
9. Assisting the UK finance team with global sales reporting and other adhoc duties
What you'll need to succeed
Ideally you will have atleast 2-3 years experience in a similar role; it is essential you have experience using QuickBooks; month end experience is essential; must be self-disciplined with good time and work load management;mercial/sales reporting experience would be a bonus, but not essential.
Ideally this role will be performed over 5 days, 5 hours per day. However, there is flexibility potentially for the right candidate.
