We are recruiting for x2 full-time fixed term (6 months) Public Health Programme Assistants. As part of our commitment to develop the public health workforce, Southwark Council Public Health Division is offering two entry-level roles as part of its Public Health Foundation Programme. The programme is aimed at people with a degree or equivalent experience, who have limited work experience in public health and are considering a career in this field. The Foundation Programme allows Public Health Programme Assistants to explore a career in public health, develop skills relevant to public health practice and gain experience working in a local government setting. The positions will be closely supported by a Public Health Policy and Programme Officer or Health Intelligence Analyst. About You You will have achieved, or be working towards, a degree in public health or a related discipline, or have equivalent experience You will have a demonstrated understanding and interest in public health, be a skilled communicator with good analytical skills, and have the ability to work cooperatively. Description of equivalent experience: Equivalent experience would include further education, apprenticeships or work experience in a field related to public health which has allowed you to gain the knowledge, experience and skills set out in the job description.
