We are currently looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Milton Transport team in the position of LGV Driver.
Shift Pattern:
Monday - Friday five days per week. However, if required the shift requirement can be changed to maintain factory production.
To facilitate the Company's delivery strategy, by driving a Company LGV & operating to the high standards of professionalism & safety set out by the Company.
A LGV driver will not be just a driver but will be a Company representative, the role of our driver is critical to our first-class Customer Service
In addition our Inbound Logistics operation is a key part of our supply chain ensuring that our manufacturing sites have the raw material to ensure supply of our products.
A LGV driver's role will involve a degree of climbing and manual handling therefore a good standard of physical fitness is essential.
Your duties would include but not limited to the following:
Comply with LGV Drivers Hours Regulations Ensure that none of the Companies Undertakings with regards to Goods Vehicle Operator Licensing are breached Comply with all Legislation relating to the Road Traffic Act or other relevant legislation Comply with all Health & Safety legislation & Company Health & Safety Policy Complete material collections and/ or deliveries as instructed. Communicate any issues to relevant parties. Drive in a fuel efficient, safe, conscious
About You :
You will need a current LGV license Good geographical knowledge Excellent communication skills Ability to work with minimum supervision Good standard of physical fitness Ability to work within set time frames. Be flexible and adapt to different types of material and variable volume flows. Ability to operate a range of equipment including tippers, walking floor trailers, skeletal trailers, powder tankers, flats and if required crane trailers. Multiple trailer types may be required to be operated within one shift. Basic understanding of Health, Safety & Risk Assessment Tractor units will need to be shared due to the dual utilisation of tractors.
