Make your mark for patients We are looking for an Ecosystem Lead – Rare Disease to join us in our UK & Ireland Rare Disease team, based in our Slough, UK offices About the role The Ecosystem Lead leads the development and execution of tailored strategies for the assigned ecosystem and is accountable for achieving the strategic goals, such as: partnership and long-term relations with various relevant health ecosystem stakeholders; securing and maintaining optimal access; leading market position in focused patient segments; driving growth, sustainability and profitability of the franchise. Who you’ll work with You will report into the Head of Neurology & Rare Disease for the UK & Ireland What you’ll do Demonstrate a set of motivational, inclusive and leadership skills enabling true joint accountability of all business unit members In partnership with Talent & Learning Organization, coach, train and develop all members of the business unit e.g. ensuring individual competencies are at required levels. In respect of the scientific knowledge this will be done in partnership with the Medical Lead. Develop a multi-stakeholder ecosystem specific strategic and tactical plan (local patient value plans (business unit plans) based on business unit strategies and priorities adopted to key insights and unique characteristics of assigned. Plan to take into account both short- and long-term ambitions Ensure excellence in execution of business unit plans ensuring sales targets are met and/or exceeded Role model in driving change. He / She leads and accompanies people through change, is looking for ways to maintain the energy and performance levels of the team through change. Understands his/her role as leader and is able to create the right conditions for change. I nterested? For this position you’ll need the following education, experience and skills : Bachelors’ degree in life sciences, business or healthcare required, M.B.A., JD, PharmD, PhD or MD preferred People leadership experience required & leading & developing a high performing sales team Eco-system knowledge – Deep Insight in the relevant health care system and the ability to balance short and long term objectives; such as drive growth, profitability to achieve the business unit strategic and financial goals and develop long term partnerships with health care Therapeutic area knowledge of rare disease – Show a credible understanding of the therapeutic area including clinic, payer and policy interactions and demonstrate capability of external focus and accomplishing patient and health care value Severeal years of healthcare related sales, marketing, market access or field medical experience Are you ready to ‘go beyond’ to create value and make your mark for patients?
