Smile Education is delighted to support a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Primary School based in Walsall in their search for an experienced SEMH Teaching Assistant. This full-time role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact, initially covering at least a half-term, with the potential for extension.
Role Overview:
This role involves working in a primary classroom, providing one-on-one support to a child with significant Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The ideal candidate will bring both confidence and expertise in SEMH, fostering a supportive and nurturing environment that meets the child’s individual requirements.
Key Requirements:
Proven experience supporting children with SEMH needs, with the confidence to work independently.
Minimum Level 2 qualification in Childcare, Education, or a related field.
Current enhanced DBS registered to the update service, or willingness to apply for a new DBS check through Smile Education.About the School:
