We are seeking a highly skilled Building Surveyor to join our Consulting team in Manchester, with the opportunity to work on various Prison, Schools, and Healthcare schemes.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams.
Main Responsibilities:
* Inspection and Assessment: Conduct thorough inspections of buildings and systems, identifying defects and potential hazards, and developing recommendations for repairs and maintenance.
* Inventory Management: Maintain detailed records of assets, including photos and descriptions, and ensure compliance with regulations and safety standards.
* Maintenance Planning: Develop and implement effective maintenance schedules, overseeing repair and maintenance work to ensure quality and timely completion.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate findings and recommendations to facility managers and stakeholders, working collaboratively with architects, engineers, contractors, and other professionals.
Requirements:
* A degree in Building Surveying or a related field, such as civil engineering, architecture, or construction management.
* Professional qualifications, such as membership in the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or similar professional bodies.
* Experience in inspecting buildings, assessing system condition, and identifying defects and hazards, as well as familiarity with local, state, and federal building codes and safety regulations.
* Inventory management experience, including creating and maintaining asset inventories and proficiency in detailed record-keeping and report writing.
* Maintenance planning experience, including developing and implementing maintenance schedules and supervising repair and maintenance projects to ensure quality and timely completion.
* Stakeholder engagement experience, including communicating findings and recommendations to facility managers and other stakeholders, working with architects, engineers, contractors, and other professionals.
About the Role:
This role offers a competitive salary range of £55,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as a range of benefits, including a generous pension scheme, minimum 24 days holiday + Bank Holidays, and a flexible benefits scheme tailored by you.
