Job summary Deputy Divisional Director of Nursing (12-Month Fixed Term/ Secondment) Interview Date - 13th February 2025 We have an exciting and challenging opportunity for an exceptional and experienced Senior Nurse to join the leadership team in the Medicine Division, at the Great Western Hospital in Swindon. Our Division of Medicine is a large and diverse Division consisting of Front Door Services, General Internal Medicine, Diagnostics, Medical Specialties, Pharmacy and Bereavement Services. We are looking for a dynamic, driven and passionate registered nurse with experience of leading acute care and emergency care. A professional background in medicine would be advantageous, but is not essential, although you will need to develop your knowledge in the clinical services provided by the Division quickly. You will have a proven track record of successfully leading clinical teams, managing change and putting safety, quality and patient experience at the heart of everything you do. Main duties of the job To provide professional and clinical leadership to nurses within the division, acting as a role model both in the division and across the trust, ensuring high performance in managerial and clinical practice is both developed and maintained. Leading and contributing to an effective quality improvement work programme as part of the divisional plan and corporate nursing agenda.
