I am recruiting for a Nursery Deputy Manager to join a lovely Nursery located in Tamworth. This is a permanent, full-time role (37.5 hours per week). This would suit a Nursery Deputy Manager who's looking for a new challenge or a Room Leader/3rd in charge that wants to step up; with previous experience, strong leadership skills, and a passionate person who can inspire and motivate.
The nursery is a friendly and attentive independent day nursery based in Tamworth, dedicated to offering high-quality childcare and pre-school services. The nursery is within easy reach of Lichfield and Sutton Coldfield.
What will your role as a Nursery Deputy Manager look like?
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support, mentor, motivate, and supervise room staff in their day-to-day duties and monitor their paperwork including planning, observations, assessments, and learning journeys on a regular basis.
2. Provide high standards of quality within the nursery including the environment, resources, and experiences offered to children.
3. Work with the EYFS Curriculum and plan exciting age-appropriate activities for children.
4. Maintain a safe and welcoming environment in the room.
5. Build positive, trusting, and successful relationships with parents, colleagues, and children.
6. Attend nursery events - parent consultations, open days, sports days, summer fairs, etc.
7. Remain up-to-date with current developments in childcare and education policies and practices.
8. Good knowledge and compliance of Health and Safety, Safeguarding, EYFS, and Ofsted regulations.
9. Be willing to be part of the leadership team for continuous progression within the company.
Key Skills & Experience:
1. A full and relevant level 2, 3 or above qualification.
2. A sound knowledge of child development for children from birth to five years.
3. Knowledge and understanding of the statutory framework for the EYFS and the inspection processes of regulatory bodies.
4. Knowledge of Child Protection procedures.
5. Awareness of purposeful planning, observation, and assessment.
6. Passion for the Childcare Industry.
