We are seeking a highly accomplished and visionary Commercial Director to lead our commercial strategy and drive significant revenue growth. The role:
1. Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute comprehensive commercial strategies to achieve ambitious revenue targets, expand market share, and establish Syos as a global leader in autonomous systems.
2. Commercial Excellence: Lead all aspects of commercial operations, including sales, business development, marketing, contract negotiation, and strategic partnerships.
3. Business Development and Market Expansion: Identify and capitalize on new market opportunities, driving international sales, establishing strategic partnerships in key regions, and leading the business development function.
4. Risk Management and Contractual Expertise: Provide expert guidance on commercial, contractual, and risk management matters, ensuring optimal project outcomes and mitigating potential liabilities.
5. Intellectual Property and Export Control: Oversee the development and execution of Syos' intellectual property strategy and ensure strict compliance with export control regulations.
6. Legal Oversight: Direct and coordinate legal reviews with external counsel, ensuring efficient and effective legal support for all commercial activities.
7. Team Leadership: Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing commercial team, encompassing sales, business development, and marketing, fostering a culture of excellence and driving continuous improvement.
Your experience:
1. Extensive senior-level commercial leadership experience within the aerospace, drone, or related high-technology industry.
2. Proven track record of driving significant revenue growth and achieving ambitious commercial targets in international markets.
3. Demonstrated expertise in commercial law, contract negotiation, and risk management.
4. In-depth knowledge of export control regulations and compliance requirements.
5. Proven experience in developing IP strategy.
6. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
7. Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
8. A relevant law degree or equivalent professional qualification.
9. Experience in founding and developing commercial, business development, and marketing departments.
10. Proven experience leading and developing business development and marketing teams.
