Role: Night Shift Engineering Team Leader Location: Spalding Salary: £27.03/hour Hours: 17:30 – 02:00 Days: Monday – Friday Total Search Partners are retained on a Night Shift Engineering Team Leader role, for a food manufacturing business based in Spalding (Lincolnshire). This is a newly created role, reporting into the Maintenance Manager, due to the restructuring of the Engineering team. Due to the nature of the role and business, we will only accept applications from people with previous food manufacturing experience. As a Night shift engineering team leader, you will be responsible for managing the internal and external engineering resources. You will organise and prioritise work orders to ensure deliverables are completed on time alongside ensuring PPM plans are being followed and support engineering management in implementing, reviewing and amending plans and procedures. You will be responsible for signing in contractors and supporting them where required. You will carry out root cause analysis to reduce downtime and support operations by assisting in upskilling operators and engineers. You will uphold a strong electrical background and be competent in reading and modifying electrical drawings. You will have the confidence to explore and implement on-site initiatives. You will support the engineering team to close out any corrective actions in a timely mannered. You will lead by example, providing good Health and Safety guidance to both visitors and contractors, while working in a safe working environment. Key Areas of Responsibility: Safety: Maintain safe production processes. Support safety audits. Report on near misses within all departments. Food Safety & Quality: Support audits Report any food safety near misses Operational: Lead and support site engineering team in operation and maintenance of machinery Upskill nights teams Support PPM programme and its adherence Use on-site CMMS to capture relevant information The Ideal Candidate: Possess a minimum of 5 years as a multi-skilled engineer in the food manufacturing sector. Previous experience in leading or management within engineering. Experience in managing contractors. Able to read CAD drawings and electrical drawings Will be IT literate.
