Position: Full-Time Teaching Assistant (Supporting SEND Pupils)

We are committed to ensuring that every student reaches their full potential, and this includes providing targeted support for pupils with SEND. We are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our SEND team and help create a positive learning experience for all.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one-on-one and group support to pupils with SEND, helping them access the curriculum and achieve their learning goals.
* Work closely with the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) and class teachers to implement tailored learning strategies and ensure pupils' individual needs are met.
* Support pupils in managing their emotions and behavior, promoting independence, confidence, and social skills.
* Assist with the preparation and adaptation of learning materials to suit the needs of SEND pupils.
* Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued.
* Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents/carers.
* Collaborate with external professionals, such as educational psychologists and therapists, as required.
Requirements:
* Experience working with children or young people, ideally within an educational setting.
* A passion for supporting pupils with SEND and understanding of various learning difficulties (e.g., ASD, ADHD, dyslexia).
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils.
* The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Desirable:
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent).
* Experience supporting pupils with SEND in a secondary school setting.
* Knowledge of EHCPs (Education, Health, and Care Plans) and strategies for inclusion.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
