The Foreman/Foreperson (Painting) job itself where you’ll be at the heart of on-site operations, overseeing high-quality painting and refurbishment projects. You’ll be responsible for managing teams, ensuring work meets the highest standards, and maintaining a strong focus on health and safety. From mentoring apprentices to liaising with clients and contractors, you’ll lead by example and ensure smooth project delivery. More specifically:
Lead and manage a team of skilled tradespeople, delivering exceptional painting, plastering, and roofline works.
Ensure projects are completed to the highest standards, on time and within budget.
Liaise with Contract Managers and Surveyors to track progress and address any issues.
Manage site safety and health practices, delivering Toolbox Talks and maintaining a safe working environment.
Order materials, monitor waste, and help keep projects running efficiently.
Mentor team members and train future Forepersons and Apprentices.
Complete weekly/monthly paperwork and ensure accurate reporting of job completion.
You will have
To be successful as Foreman/Foreperson (Painting), you will be an experienced manager with a healthy mix of the following:
Proven experience in a lead role within the painting and or refurbishment sector, especially in social housing.
Strong technical knowledge of painting, refurbishment or plastering.
A valid CSCS card and ability to work at heights.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead by example.
A keen eye for detail and commitment to delivering quality.
Ability to motivate and mentor a team.
Reliable, trustworthy, and dedicated to safety and quality.
You will get
As Foreman/Foreperson (Painting), you will receive salary of £35 to £37K + Package based on a 40 hours week
Competitive hourly rate, up to £18p/h + opportunity for weekly bonus.
