RTR are part of the dormakaba group and offer a specialist service which can adapt and fabricate components to customer specifications. Sometimes existing components need to be adjusted to fit into a specific location or meet a special purpose, so additional holes may need to be added, components need to be cut to length or sub-assemblies may need to be carried out before the products are dispatched to the customer. As a Production Operative, you will be engaged in the manufacture and assembly of specialist orders for customers. Working with basic hand tools you will mainly adapt existing aluminium components, cutting, bending, drilling and some plate engraving primarily to the clients' requirements. Although we expect you to be able to use hand tools, some training will be available in the safe use of other workshop equipment you will come into contact with. RTR are a highly collaborative organisation, therefore the right person also needs to be a responsible team player, who is flexible and happy to help in other departments where required. Working hours are 40 per week. Monday to Friday, 8.00am - 4.30pm. WE PUT TRUST IN YOU: YOUR SKILLS
* We need someone who is competent in the safe use of hand tools and can follow customer instructions, who can produce precise and accurate work as required.
* Who can liaise and collaborate with other members of the team, including the office staff, who all work together to meet customer service requirements.
* The role offers support from our internal teams as well as all necessary training.
