Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
This is a five year scheme. Through five annual work placements you will learn and demonstrate skills required in Procurement, Warehousing & Transport Operations, Logistics Management, Commercial Management, and Purchasing Principles for Global Supply Chains, Supply Chain Analytics, Developing Management Capability, Developing Leadership Capability, Managing Procurement Performance, Technology & Innovation, and Strategic Supply Chain Management.
Within the Procurement function, you can expect to be involved in a wide range of activities whilst working alongside Procurement Professionals some examples of the work you will undertake are identifying appropriate and key capabilities within the supply base and aid the development of innovative solutions. Leading the supplier selection and negotiation activities required by the business. Facilitate and lead effective supplier relationships and partnerships where necessary, and develop short, medium and/or long-term supplier strategies and relationships.

* Determine benefits of insourcing, offshoring or outsourcing
* Gather, analyse, interpret and use data from across the supply chain to propose and make effective decisions
* Source and plan optimal transport solutions
* Actively integrate and use data across enterprise lines
* Develop differentiated supply chain strategies aligned to relevant business unit or function to achieve long-term sustainable growth
* Use end customer insight to design and evaluate end-to-end supply chain networks

GCSE in:
