About this opportunity: We have an exciting opportunity to lead Scottish Widows’ Investment Operations Data & Analytics team as a Senior Manager within our Chief Investments Office. This is a varied role where you'll be responsible for leading our investments data and analytics team, providing a single source of truth for the Investments team including Customer & Shareholder funds and ensuring policy and decision-making is underpinned by science, rigorous evidence and sound analysis to help advise solutions supporting our customers. Building upon the single source, you'll work collaboratively with a wide group of colleagues across Scottish Widows to coordinate, streamline and automate reporting for customers, committees and colleagues, allowing for ‘near’ real-time analysis and appropriate feedback loops on customer and portfolio outcomes. We're looking for someone who can own the development of deep analytical functionality, migrating from a descriptive environment to diagnostic and predictive functionality, drawing upon the wider data environment available to Scottish Widows & Lloyds Banking Group. What you’ll be doing: Responsible for ensuring end-to-end data delivery within the Investments team, working with internal & external partners to ensure a single source of truth across all solutions. Engaging with key internal customers to automate delivery of reporting and analytics as required by the business. Development of analytical toolsets for the purpose of business and portfolio optimisation. Makes a significant improvement on short-term or long-term business performance by recommending authoritative technical and/or professional solutions. Experience of leading and delivering required outcomes for a portfolio of projects while reporting to senior colleagues. The ability to identify and evaluate complex expertise-led solutions against a range of criteria to meet business needs. Experience of leading & developing data analytic teams and building strong networks across organisation. Validated experience of analysing key themes using data from a wide range of sources and identifies possible impacts on the business. Collaboration and communication skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and accurately verbally and in writing.
