Job Description
Due to our continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join our team in Hull, UK. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all on-site aspects of assigned mechanical projects, ensuring project deliverables are met. This position reports to the Project/Contracts Manager and involves close collaboration with suppliers, site supervisors, project managers, EHSQ advisors, and subcontractors.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of mechanical building services.
2. Ensure all relevant permits are in place before starting site activities.
3. Conduct inspections and tests to identify and resolve mechanical issues.
4. Liaise with main contractors and client site teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
5. Ensure compliance with EHSQ standards, RAMS, PPE, and other safety protocols.
6. Coordinate plant hire, tools, and labor on-site.
7. Manage labor and subcontractor teams to ensure timely completion of work.
8. Handle external correspondence related to the project.
9. Manage the ordering of site materials on a daily basis.
10. Maintain project progress updates and reports.
11. Oversee project scheduling and ensure timely communication of changes to the project team.
12. Ensure project quality through regular reporting and monitoring.
Qualifications:
1. Previous experience in a Mechanical Supervisor or similar supervisory role.
2. Strong people management skills.
3. Project management experience is an advantage.
4. Computer literate with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
5. Willingness to travel occasionally if required.
