Here at North Wales Housing we are committed to delivering our vision through our amazing people. We are looking for a Communications & Content Officer to join our Customer Experience team. The role involves writing and creating clear compelling copy for various mediums (including print, web, video, and social media), working closely with the team to create ideas, develop concepts, and articulate messaging.
The role:
This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and imaginative content creator to shape our communications across a wide range of platforms – from social media and digital campaigns to internal comms and resident publications. You’ll work alongside our team to:
Create compelling, engaging content for web, print, video, social media, and more
Lead on the design and production of promotional and editorial materials
Manage internal and external communications, including website and intranet updates, press releases, and our resident magazine
Increase digital interaction with residents, especially encouraging use of our online portal
Champion the NWH brand, ensuring consistency in our tone, messaging, and visuals
Collaborate with designers, suppliers, and partner organisations to deliver high-quality communications
Support the delivery of events and social media content as part of the wider Customer Experience strategy
You will need to:
Understand target audiences
Identify key messages and be able to condense complex information
Liaise with residents and colleagues regularly, either by phone, email or face-to-face
Create content to either persuade or inform
Identify interesting angles for articles and build a compelling narrative
Produce text across a range of mediums, such as webpages, publicity material, blogs, email messages, social media and video scripts
Edit your own and others' writing
Provide other digital content, if required
What we are looking for:
Ideally a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in journalism, English, communications, or related discipline; OR three-years’ experience in a related discipline.
Exceptional writing and research skills
Ability to work independently or with a team to meet deadlines
Excellent organisational skills and multi-tasking ability
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
