Alexander Steele Recruitment continues to partner with the UK and Europe's largest food businesses. They supply a vast range of products to food service outlets, B2B and into UK retailers. Due to continuous growth and recent acquisition, the business is looking to appoint a HR Assistant to join them at their site in Surrey.
On offer:
1. Salary is £30,000 - £35,000 pro rata.
2. Working 25 hours per week.
3. Company pension.
4. 28 days holiday (pro rata).
The role:
* Reporting to the HR Manager, the HR Assistant will support the HR function to provide a comprehensive HR service to the business.
* Coordination of all recruitment for the site.
* Be the first point of contact for all HR enquiries and deal with them in a timely and efficient manner.
* Process new starters and leavers.
* Support in updating policies and maintain in-line with HR legislation.
* Maintenance of records and files within the HR system.
* Coordination of training and occupational health services for staff.
* Produce HR reports, staff reports, and KPIs.
* Undertake and support with HR projects.
* Support with the L&D and engagement across the site.
* Support managers by inviting staff to and note-taking during meetings, reviews, and disciplinaries.
* Help to promote the health, safety & environmental culture across the site.
* Support and coordinate with the succession planning and talent management on site.
The candidate:
* At least 2 years experience working in a similar HR role.
* Good working knowledge and understanding of HR processes and employee lifecycle.
* Be able to work independently, manage a busy workload, and maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
* Organised, have excellent attention to detail, and be a great communicator with people at all levels.
