We’re looking for a Category Executive to support the delivery of inspiring and credible customer category plans which unlock category growth and help us towards our goal of becoming a leading wellbeing drinks brand.
Category experience isn’t essential, we’re open to broader backgrounds, but you’ll be a hands-on, commercially minded data enthusiast who can delve into large data-sets, with high curiosity to not only establish key trends but also translate and communicate your insights within commercial teams confidently,
This is a hybrid role based in Andover (Hybrid, 2-3 days per week) and is a fixed term contract for 12 months
Key Responsibilities
* Develop credible, insight based customer relationships that enable you to provide category plans that deliver sustainable growth for Twinings & your customer
* Working on one of our largest Retailer accounts (Tesco) alongside the Category Controller to deliver best in class range, space and promotional recommendations.
* Own the data through creating and maintaining category scorecards and trackers, monitoring coding and improving system records and data to a high level of accuracy, whilst also maintaining the image library
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* Experience within FMCG would be ideal (not necessarily within Category), but more important is your analytical capability / approach within similar business areas (for example buying, category, finance).
* High levels of commerciality and an eagerness to continuously improve this.
* Hands on System Management experience (Nielsen, Dunnhumby, Sips, Quantium would be ideal but not essential)
* Analytical mindset with experience of getting under the skin of detailed, diverse data
* Credible and engaging relationship maker
* Highly motivated, curious and comfortable with ambiguity, ability to work independently
* Ability to pick up trends, interpret them, and challenge the status quo
* Knowledge of key category KPIS and metrics in key data systems
* Expert proficiency in Excel
