Main purpose of the role: To ensure the successful and efficient execution of construction projects, ensuring client satisfaction at all times. You will be essential in increasing GP% throughout the project and will be responsible for the practical management of every stage of a project build, working closely with Design, Pre-Con Managers, Site Managers, sub contractors and other third party building professionals. Qualifications / Experience required: Professional certification relating to project management e.g. Prince 2 Minimum 3 years experience in office fitout sector or related field General understanding of building regulations Experience in project management application / principles Ability to allocate and manage budgets effectively Understanding of CDM regulations. Main Areas of Responsibility: Manage projects from sales order through to completion and client handover, with full health and safety responsibility and quality control on site. Responsibility for health and safety of projects on site including liaising with external H&S partners and CDM management. Prepare and manage building regulation & planning applications. Plan, schedule and coordinate each projects programme of works, ensuring works are completed safely, timely and to a high standard. Record all contract variations Work with Pre-Con Manager to negotiate and procure with sub contractors and vendors for the project to ensure GP% is maximised, including project take offs and order scheduling. Close monitoring of projects to ensure highest possible standards are achieved, delivery on time and in budget and most importantly Health & Safety compliance throughout, preparing detailed daily, weekly and monthly reports as required. Attending/Chairing of project progress meetings and reporting back to internal Sales team and Project Director. Ensure frequent and timely communication with Operations Director with project progress, safety, quality, variations and budget reports. Ensure all insurances and contracts are kept up to date with each sub-contractor. The above list is no exhaustive and the role may evolve to include additional duties as required in conjunction with the Operations Director reviews. Size of Projects and Areas: Projects can include construction projects, design and build fitout, dilapidations, refurbishments and furniture installations up to £2m covering a circa 50 mile radius from the office location. Occasionally we do undertake projects outside of the above radius and consideration would be given to travel and accommodation as required.
