Are you experienced in data governance and passionate about implementing data cataloguing solutions? A leading FTSE 100 company is seeking a skilled Data Governance Analyst to help implement a new data cataloguing tool from scratch, focusing on improving data management and governance processes.
THE COMPANY:
This well-established, global organization is a leader in their industry, known for its commitment to excellence in data-driven decision-making and digital transformation. They are now looking to enhance their data governance strategy and build a robust data cataloguing framework.
THE ROLE:
As a Data Governance Analyst, you will play a key role in the implementation of a data cataloguing tool (Precisely) from the ground up. This will involve setting up the tool, managing data governance processes, and ensuring compliance with internal standards. You'll work closely with various teams to define data policies, governance structures, and best practices.
Specific duties as a Data Governance Analyst include:
* Implement and configure the Precisely data cataloguing tool from scratch
* Work closely with stakeholders to understand data governance needs and align with business objectives
* Define data governance policies and processes, ensuring data quality, security, and compliance
* Ensure the successful deployment of data cataloguing across the organization
* Collaborate with data teams to ensure effective data classification, metadata management, and data lineage
* Provide training and support to internal teams on the usage of the data cataloguing tool
* Monitor and report on the progress of the implementation, identifying any areas for improvement
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
The successful Data Governance Analyst will have the following skills and experience:
* Strong experience in data governance, with a focus on data cataloguing tools
* Hands-on experience implementing and configuring data cataloguing tools (preferably Precisely)
* Knowledge of data management frameworks, data quality standards, and best practices
* Proven track record of working within data governance frameworks and regulatory compliance requirements
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
