The Role of the Internal Sales Engineer This role involves handling leads and enquiries as part of a small team that specifies customer solutions based on the company’s core technologies. Key Responsibilities of the Technical Sales Engineer: Follow up on leads and customer enquiries Work with and support external sales functions Act as the first and last point of contact for customers Work closely with design, project management, and technical teams to deliver accurate, technical responses to customer enquiries Produce quotations and follow those up with customers Maintain and develop relationships with key accounts and new clients Understand customer requirements and translate them into technical specifications Requirements for the Internal Sales Sales Engineer: Essential: Ability to understand technical drawings 5 years of experience in a technical sales role Strong communication skills and a problem-solving mindset Understanding of small business dynamics and a collaborative attitude Desirable: Background in engineering or chemical engineering HNC or HND level education in a technical field Package details: £35,000 - £40,000 with up to 20% annual bonus Laptop and phone provided 8:30 - 5pm Monday to Thursday and 1:30pm finish on a Friday Opportunity to be part of a niche market leader with a strong knowledge base and collaborative team
