Job Description: Electrical Technician
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Electrical Technician to perform both PPM and reactive breakdown, installation, and testing activities on a variety of electrical systems within a busy manufacturing environment.

Recognized as market leaders in their niche manufacturing sector, they are experiencing continued success and strategic growth. They are currently recruiting an Electrical Technician for their Worsley facility to join their professional team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment, including switchgear, transformers, motors, and generators, following the latest IEE Wiring Regulations and company standards.
2. Performing routine maintenance and testing, such as insulation resistance testing, earth loop impedance testing, and protective device testing.
3. Collaborating with contractors on site, managing areas of responsibility, troubleshooting electrical faults, and implementing corrective actions to ensure minimal downtime.
4. Ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, including safe isolation and de-energization procedures.
5. Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, test results, equipment specifications, and spare parts inventory.
6. Providing technical support to Operations and liaising with the Engineering team, including root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
Minimum Requirements:
* Qualification to at least City and Guilds, NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation, or equivalent.
* Thorough understanding of the 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations.
* Proven experience in installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in an industrial manufacturing environment.
* Experience in contractor management, permit-to-work systems, and using a CMMS (preferably SAP).
* Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and rectify faults autonomously and within a team.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Flexible approach to work, including on-call duties and outside normal hours with appropriate remuneration.
* Valid UK driving license for site visits and training purposes.
