South Hampstead High School is looking for a well-qualified Mandarin Language Assistant to support our thriving and popular Modern Languages Department.
As a Language Assistant, you will deliver conversational Mandarin lessons to Key Stage 3 students, both in small groups and on an individual basis. In addition to your teaching responsibilities, you will also share in pastoral duties and contribute to the extra-curricular life of the school.
You will be a fluent speaker of Mandarin and will have previous experience of teaching the language to a class. You will be able to provide appropriate levels of instruction, helping students to improve their linguistic ability and cultural understanding. As a self-motivated, confident and friendly individual, you will be able to work flexibly as part of a team and can establish positive relationships with young people.
This is a part time role for three days per week.
