The Opportunity
The Head of MI - Data Management at The Trafford & Stockport College Group plays a pivotal role in ensuring the Group’s compliance and success in Further and Higher Education delivery. With a focus on managing funding and compliance matters, the role requires effective collaboration and management to deliver an excellent Management Information Systems (MIS) data service. The position involves developing and implementing efficient processes aligned with funding body requirements, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of recruitment and funding performance data.
The Head of MI: Data Management is entrusted with managing and overseeing critical aspects such as all funding data submissions, curriculum planning, course file management, timetabling, register management, funding awareness and training, main college enrolment activities, Individual Learner Record (ILR) production, and data quality assurance. Utilising a range of software tools, the role requires a blend of technical expertise, forward-thinking, and effective management to provide key operational performance information to the Group and external stakeholders.
About you
The Head of MI: Data Management position at The Trafford & Stockport College Group is open to any qualified professional with a strong background in Further and Higher Education, including Apprenticeship funding. The successful applicant will possess extensive knowledge of funding and compliance matters, demonstrating a deep understanding of the intricacies of managing funding data. A strong operational thinker and manager, the successful applicant will excel in developing and implementing efficient processes that adhere to funding body requirements.
The successful applicant will be adept at utilising a range of software tools, showcasing a strong technical proficiency. With a customer and data-centric approach, the successful applicant will provide direction and effective management to the MIS service, delivering key operational performance information to both the Group and external stakeholders.
