Are you ready to take on a pivotal role in driving product success? We’re seeking a Product Owner on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract to build, own and deliver a backlog of initiatives to drive forward our claims digitalisation roadmap in Retail. You’ll play a crucial role in delivering the Product Roadmap by collaborating closely with your Squad teams to translate strategic business objectives into actionable backlogs. As the voice of the customer, you'll ensure that user needs are prioritised and understood, while developing a robust comprehension of both the technical landscape and the business domain. Join us to define and accept User Stories, guiding your Squad throughout the sprint cycle to ensure that each product increment meets our high standards for acceptance criteria and the definition of done. You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, moving to the majority of your working week from September 2025. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events. What you’ll be doing: Consult with stakeholders to gather and analyse customer and business needs, turning them into prioritised Stories using MoSCoW. Create Stories that align with AXA’s business architecture principles. Join Squad meetings like Sprint Planning, Reviews, and Stand-ups as needed. Continuously enhance your technical and product knowledge to support effective solutions for users and the business. Keep an organised backlog for your Squad that aligns with the Product vision, helping define Epics and Stories with clear criteria. Assist the Squad during development by providing context, clarifying requirements, and participating in validation, like Sprint Reviews. Work with the Product Manager and other Product Owners on the Product roadmap and backlog, discussing resource needs and dependencies for informed prioritisation. Gain a solid understanding of AXA’s technology and actively engage in design discussions to advocate for effective solutions that meet all requirements. What you’ll bring: Excellent Product ownership skills, with a good knowledge of digital customer journeys or Retail claims. Skilled in Agile methods, working with Squads to deliver product updates in iterations. Expert in developing detailed Stories and acceptance criteria, ensuring development meets requirements. Previous experience working with various stakeholders, including business, engineering, design, and marketing, to align on product goals. Experience in using data and analytics to monitor product performance, assess feature impact, spot trends, and guide decisions. Adaptable to changing priorities, with the ability to make trade-offs, and resolves conflicts to keep development on track. Understanding of customer needs through research and feedback to guide product decisions and feature prioritisation.
