Employment Advisor For Newground Together
We are looking for an Employment Advisor to join Newground Together in the Employment and Skill Lancashire team. As an Employment Advisor, you will support people who have been out of work for over 12 months, addressing barriers that prevent them from accessing or securing paid employment, whether through training and development or personal circumstances.

Requirements
Outline of Key Responsibilities for the Employment Advisor:
* Assist in the delivery of new and existing projects that progress the organizational objectives in relation to employment.
* Work to and achieve set targets, i.e., numbers on non-regulated activity and job outcomes.
* Determine and implement effective approaches to help clients develop confidence, overcome barriers, and achieve successful transitions.
* Engage with local businesses and employers to understand business needs and promote our client base and services.
* Actively recruit clients into employability projects, retain their engagement, and encourage participation in workshops, job clubs, and 1:1 sessions.
* Identify and harness local, regional, and national initiatives that deliver new opportunities for access to employment/training. Deliver group training to develop participants towards employability.
* Develop working relationships with other professionals in the employment, welfare, and training sectors.
We are looking for someone who has:
* A valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
* Relevant experience or qualifications (e.g., IAG level 2 or Coaching/Mentoring qualification).
* Experience working with clients aged 16+ years, supporting them to gain employment or training.
* Evidence of effectively working with clients facing multiple barriers to engagement and participation.
* A proven record in developing contacts and engaging with local businesses to source employment opportunities.
* Experience in problem-solving and managing a varied caseload.
* Ability to use initiative and meet performance targets.
* Experience in negotiating and advocating successfully one-on-one, by telephone.

* Starting salary: £26,862 per annum.
* Annual salary increment increases.
* 27 days annual leave (rising to 32 over 5 years' service) + bank holidays.
