Exciting Opportunity for a Developer – Team Lead in Government Sector!
Up to £620/day | Outside IR35 | Hybrid Working | Glasgow-based
Initial Contract for 6 Months (Potentially extendable for 23 Months)
Are you an experienced Developer looking to take the lead in a government project? We are seeking a Developer – Team Lead to provide technical leadership, mentor a talented team, and drive the delivery of key projects aimed at modernisation and cost reduction within the public sector. If you have a passion for agile development, Java, Spring Boot, and AWS, this is the role for you!
What You’ll Do:
* Lead and mentor a development team, ensuring the rapid build-up of customer accounts
* Work with Java and Spring Boot to deliver high-quality microservices
* Collaborate with AWS cloud technologies for development and deployment
* Ensure alignment with industry standards and security practices
* Conduct knowledge transfer and guide junior team members
What We’re Looking For:
* Expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and building modern microservices
* Strong AWS knowledge and experience working with public cloud technologies
* TDD, Unit-Testing experience
* Previous leadership roles in government engineering teams
* Familiarity with Terraform, TypeScript, and AuroraDB/MySQL
* Experience with Linux-based shell scripting
* Knowledge of government security control requirements
