Typical day as an Assistant Management Accountant
* Supporting the preparation of accurate management accounts and financial budgets.
* Collaborating with colleagues to provide clear insights into financial performance.
* Processing journals and assisting internal customers with understanding their finances.
* Conducting balance sheet reconciliations to ensure robust financial controls.
* Developing and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders.
* Continuously improving processes to enhance our financial services.
You bring
* Solid accounting knowledge, either through experience or qualifications such as AAT.
* The ability to prepare accurate management accounts and financial forecasts.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to write clear, concise reports.
* Strong proficiency with integrated financial systems and software like Excel.
* A collaborative spirit and the ability to prioritise tasks under pressure.
* A passion for continuous learning and professional development.

You’ll report into one of our Finance Managers, within our Management Accounts team. We deliver a brilliant service, while maintaining a sense of fun. There is a great team spirit here and we all bring a keen eye for detail, creative spark and passion for our roles.
Job details
* Working week is Monday to Friday
* This is a hybrid role and you’ll work at least 2 days in the office, of which one is an anchor day (Wednesday) at our One Strawberry Lane head office in Newcastle city centre.
* You'll manage your own diary, so if you need to work from home to take delivery of your new fridge or take a longer lunch for a haircut, you can use your flexi time to manage that!
* We have one vacancy for a permanent member of the team and another for a 12 month contract.
