The Role As a Estimator / Senior Estimator with Emtec Energy, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting the Commercial Manager, taking the lead on estimating for a wide range of projects and helping us drive renewable energy innovation These include everything from individual rooftop solar projects to large scale turnkey renewables projects within the infrastructure and construction sectors. Key Responsibilities Conduct tender review to gain a comprehensive understanding of project requirements and timelines. Prepare detailed cost estimates (BoQ) and develop compelling tender submissions including programmes of work, risk register and where necessary, tender qualifications. Create comprehensive tender packs for subcontractors, covering areas such as groundworks and electrical installation. Maintain and update relevant trackers to ensure effective project monitoring. Collaborate closely with our in-house design, procurement and delivery teams to align project goals Attend site visits to better understand customer needs and project requirements. What You'll Need to Succeed A relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or Construction Management. Previous experience in estimation in a contracting environment in the construction, Civils, infrastructure or M&E sector. A strong ability to understand and translate the needs of the client into clear coherent bids. Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with exceptional attention to detail. Demonstrable contractual awareness and a commercial astute approach to risk management. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders. Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel Knowledge of current construction and M&E standard and compliance requirements. Experience in the renewable energy industry and familiarity with Solar PV design software are highly desirable. Our Benefits Competitive Salary: Based on experience and qualifications.
